Which Route May Suit Different Investors?
Contribution route: suits applicants who prioritise a lower, fixed and predictable commitment and prefer no continuing exposure to Argentine sovereign risk. The amount is a cost and is not recovered.
Security route: may suit applicants who prefer to hold an instrument and potentially recover capital, and who can tolerate a long holding period and sovereign credit exposure. Its merits can only be assessed once the terms of issue are published.
Neither route should be selected without individual legal and financial advice.
05
Rules Common to Both Routes
- Same eligibility and due diligence standards
- Same evaluation by the Agency for Citizenship by Investment Programs and decision by the DNM
- No prior residence requirement
- Investment timing within the procedure not yet defined
- Funds must move only through the official channel designated by the Government
06
Family Considerations
Family members add the announced amounts under either route. See Family Applications for conditions, documents and worked examples.
